Activity 1:
If you could give one character in your novel a gift, what would you give him or her? Explain why. How would he or she use this thing? Why is it important for him or her to have this thing? Write at least two paragraphs that are 6-8 sentences long.
Activity 2:
Make a Wordle. First, make a list of 50 adjectives that describe one character from your novel. Then, type the words into www.wordle.net. Make sure you type words more than once that you want to appear larger on your Wordle. For example, if you want the word “brave” to be a large, important adjective in your Wordle, type it at least 10 times. Print your completed Wordle. Send it to Mrs. Jack.
Activity 3:
Make an obituary for one of your characters. Study some obituaries from your local newspaper, and then write one for the character. Make it funny if you wish. Be sure to use facts about her/his life (from the novel) and her/his death. What will her/his funeral arrangements be? Where should people send flowers or charitable donations? Must be 10-12 sentences long.
